BDSM Dating Site Comparisons

Choosing where to look for a kink partner is a real decision. Platforms differ in what they are for, who they are built around, how they protect you and how they bill you. These comparisons put BDSM Kingdom next to eight names people often weigh it against, so you can see the differences clearly before spending time or money anywhere.

We run BDSM Kingdom, and we would rather say so than pose as neutral reviewers. To keep things fair, every comparison follows the same rules, set out further down.

The best BDSM dating sites and apps: how to choose An overview of the three kinds of kink platform, a checklist for judging any of them, paraphrased summaries of all eight rivals and a two week plan for making up your mind.

Head to head comparisons

BDSM Kingdom vs FetLife A kink social network centered on groups, writing and events, set against a site built purely for D/s dating. Useful if you are unsure whether you want community or a partner first.

BDSM Kingdom vs ALT.com Two dating sites, one wide ranging across fetishes and languages, one narrowed to dominance and submission. Read this if breadth versus focus is your main question.

BDSM Kingdom vs Feeld An open minded phone app that caters for couples and non monogamy, compared with a role first site for doms, subs and switches.

BDSM Kingdom vs KinkD App or browser? Discovery features or role based search? This comparison weighs format, notifications and profile depth.

BDSM Kingdom vs Whiplr An account of a missing listing on the day of our check, plus advice on avoiding lookalike apps when a familiar name goes missing.

BDSM Kingdom vs BDSM.com A domain name is not a design. Here the focus falls on framing, photo notices and the small print worth reading on every site.

BDSM Kingdom vs Kinkoo A lifestyle community app for Apple devices beside a D/s dating site usable on any browser, with a look at social features versus focused search.

BDSM Kingdom vs Fetster A long running fetish community with forums, events and classifieds, against a dating first design. Covers background checks and community codes.

The rules every comparison follows

Rival facts come from the rival. Each platform is described only from material it publishes itself. Third party reviews, mirror sites and rumours are not used.

Every check is dated. All rival facts in this section were read on 16 October 2026. Platforms change, so the date tells you how current the information is.

No rival prices. Prices change often and vary by country, so we point you to each platform instead. That also keeps the comparisons about substance: what a platform is for, how it protects you and how it feels to use.

No audience claims. We do not repeat anyone's figures about how many people use their service, including our own, because they cannot be independently checked.

No links to rivals. We name each platform clearly so you can find it yourself through a search engine or your device's store.

Gaps are stated. When a rival's page failed or redirected, the comparison says so rather than fill the gap with guesswork.

Corrections are welcome. Platforms that spot an outdated detail may write to us via about us.

What BDSM Kingdom brings to every comparison

To make the comparisons consistent, here is what we are, stated once.

Purpose. A dating site for dominant, submissive and switch adults seeking D/s relationships or play partners.

Profiles. Role chosen at the start; then come interests, limits, a written bio and pictures, some of which can stay locked in private albums.

Search. Starts from the role you are looking for, then narrows by place and interests.

Messaging. Included with VIP membership.

Checks. Voluntary identity confirmation (shown by a blue tick) and voluntary video confirmation, plus age assurance for every account. Blocking and reporting on each profile, with a moderation team reviewing reports. More on the trust and safety page.

Format. A website that opens in any browser, so nothing needs installing.

Billing. Two dollar priced tiers, VIP and VIP Plus, with terms from a single week up to a full year. The yearly plan does not renew automatically. Full figures on the pricing page.

Local guides. City and country pages for six English speaking countries on the locations hub.

Which comparison should you read?

You are deciding between community and dating. Read FetLife and Fetster.

You want a dating site but are unsure about focus. Read ALT.com and BDSM.com.

You prefer phone apps. Read KinkD, Kinkoo and Feeld.

You used an app that seems to have vanished. Read Whiplr.

You want everything in one place. Read the overview guide first.

What to compare for yourself

Our comparisons cover what each platform says about itself, but your own experience matters most. When you try any site or app, pay attention to:

  • Profile quality. Do profiles feel personal and complete, or thin and generic?
  • Tone. Do people discuss limits and consent, or skip straight to demands?
  • Scam signals. Requests for money, pressure to move off platform, refusal to video call.
  • Tools. How easy is it to block, report and control who sees your photos?
  • Fit. Are there people near you in the role you are seeking?

Keep notes over a week or two. Patterns surface within days once you start looking.

Changing platforms safely

If you decide to move from one platform to another, a few precautions help. Create a fresh username that does not match your old one. Use photos you have not posted elsewhere. Close old accounts you no longer use, and remove photos first if the platform allows it. If a match from an old platform wants to reconnect on a new one, repeat the camera check before you rely on them again. Separating identities is covered step by step in kink dating privacy.

Using more than one platform

Nothing obliges a kinkster to stay loyal to one platform. It is common, and sensible, to use more than one kind of platform. A community network can teach you about the scene and connect you with local events. A dating site can help you find a partner. Many people do both. Tell matches plainly what each account is for, and keep usernames distinct for privacy.
